How to view your Steam trade history

Trade history is a log of all trades in an account. It shows what went out and when, what came in and with which account the exchange took place. The first place to look if an item is missing or there is a suspicion that your account has been touched by strangers.
Where can I find a list of all completed trades, what is visible in it, how to use it in a dispute, and why it is impossible to delete entries from there.
Finding your trade history
Open your inventory at steamcommunity.com. To the right above the list of items there is a link “Exchange Offers” - click it.
On the page that opens, find a link to view your trade history. There is a list of all completed operations by date.
Each entry is revealed: you can see the exact composition of the exchange in both directions, the time and the partner’s account. Using the entry, you can go to his profile - this is more reliable than searching by nickname.
What it records
Completed exchanges with full squad. Completed ones: canceled and rejected proposals do not appear in the general journal; their status is visible in the section of the proposals themselves.
Gifts and transfers of items within Steam are also reflected.
Purchases and sales on the Marketplace are not included in the trade history - they have a separate market history in the account data section.
- Entries from history cannot be deleted - this is an account log, not correspondence.
- A completed exchange is irreversible and cannot be canceled through support.
- Check your partner’s profile using the link from the post itself, and not by name.
Using it to investigate a problem
An item is missing - open the history and find the date. If there is an exchange and you did not make it, the account is compromised: follow the full recovery scenario, starting with the email and password from a clean device.
When contacting support, save a link to a specific exchange, a screenshot of the entry and a permanent partner ID. This data speeds up the proceedings much more than a detailed description in words.
It makes sense to check history not only when something happened. Once every couple of months, a quick glance helps you notice other people's activity before it becomes noticeable in your empty inventory.
