How much is your Steam inventory worth?

An inventory does not have one universal price. Its Steam listing value, the amount you would receive after fees and its value on a cash market answer different questions. Decide which number you need before adding up your items.
Separate Steam listing prices, net sale proceeds and cash value. Learn to value an inventory without exposing your account or overlooking rare items.
Start with the right kind of value
A Steam listing price is what a buyer pays in Steam Wallet funds. Your proceeds are the amount shown in the seller’s ‘You receive’ field. A cash-market estimate is a separate number: it depends on that market’s completed sales, fees, withdrawal costs and demand. Steam Wallet funds cannot simply be withdrawn to a bank account.
For an ordinary item, open its exact Community Market listing and check the recent sales history alongside the lowest asking price. A high unsold listing is not evidence of value. Multiply comparable prices by quantities, then subtract the costs that apply to your intended sale. Keep currencies and price sources consistent throughout the calculation.
Check valuable items individually
Make a simple table with the item name, exterior, quantity, price source, gross price and estimated net proceeds. Separate items that cannot currently be traded or sold. A total that includes unavailable items is not money you can realise today.
Inspect expensive skins in CS2. Float, pattern and applied stickers can make a particular item different from a standard listing. Record those exceptions separately instead of assuming the ordinary market price is accurate. You can do this manually without making your inventory public. If using a public inventory viewer, account passwords, Steam Guard codes and API keys are not needed just to read publicly available items.
Frequently asked questions
Does the total equal the amount I can withdraw?
No. Steam balance, cash prices and net proceeds are different. Work out the fees and withdrawal conditions for the market you actually intend to use.
Why do two inventory estimates disagree?
They may use different currencies, markets, price dates or assumptions about rare variants. Compare those inputs before comparing the totals.

Why a Steam item cannot be traded or sold
Distinguish an item restriction from an account restriction. Find the availability date and learn what to check before attempting another trade.
